Caulking starts to flee. Should I delete the old one? Or on a different layer of sealant? Which tool is safe, without using harmful compounds (Corian-look alike) Shower online?

I would like to remove the old with a razor blade along both edges of the dough that is in motion. Then apply a good seal. The price difference between right and an arm silicone sealant is only a few dollars.
